About GSHC At GSHC we strive to provide services of the highest quality. We specialize in individual and small group therapy. As a private practice we are able to serve our clients in a unique way by tailoring therapy services to meet their needs as they arise. Our clinic is equipped with computer programs and high quality therapy materials. Out of respect for our clients as individuals and in order to maximize use of our resources, we focus on clinic based services. Each client's treatment is designed specifically for them. About Our Therapists: Sherri Graves received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Arkansas. She has been
with GSHC since 1986. Sherri has work experience in a variety of settings.
Over the last 30 years, she has provided services in schools, home health
and hospitals, a school for the deaf, and pediatric private practice. Sherri has
been working in pediatric private practice since 1986. Ashley Hood received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Mississippi in 2003 and a Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2005. Ashley also received a concentration in Aural Rehabilitation for the treatment of children with mild to profound hearing losses who utilize hearing aids and cochlear implants. She also has experience with sign language. Additionally, Ashley has served children with developmental articulation delays, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, language disorders, and Auditory Processing Disorders in both the public schools and in the private setting. Amy Powers received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Memphis. She has had clinical experience is a variety of pediatric and adult settings, as well as experience in the research of bilingual speech and language development. Amy has been with GSHC since August of 2007. Joy Harvey received a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Speech/Language Pathology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She has been with GSHC since August of 2008. She comes to the clinic with over 30 years of experience in a variety of settings, including private and public schools, a school for the deaf, and private practice. Joy's experience includes working with a variety of ages of individuals with a wide range of communication disorders. Lindsay Knobelaugh received her bachelor’s degree in special education and human organizational development from Vanderbilt University in 2000. She earned her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Virginia in 2004. Lindsay has clinical experience working with children of all ages who have a variety of communication and/or learning disorders. She is new to the Memphis area and joined GSHC in February of 2009 on a part-time basis. Lisa McPeak Multisensory Tutor, has been with GSHC for 8 years. She received S.M.I.L.A. training in June of 2008. S.M.I.L.A. is a multisensory approach to learning. Lisa works as an S.M.I.L.A. tutor helping children with Dyslexia and Dysgraphia.
