ADULT EVALUATIONS

An adult evaluation typically lasts an hour depending on your concerns and deficits. A case history will need to be collected and one or two tests will be administered.

Voice Evaluations:

This involves but is not limited to assessment of vocal quality, vocal range and breath support. A physician referral is required for completion of a voice evaluation.

Swallowing Evaluations:

A physician referral for a modified barium swallow study (MBSS) is required to assess the anatomy and physiology of the swallowing mechanism in order to provide the best quality of care and rule out the risk or presence of aspiration.

TREATMENT

Therapy services are designed from the therapist's interpretation of any of the evaluations we offer an individual.  Therapy is designed to meet each client's individual needs.  Specialized techniques, strategies, and approaches may be utilized for best outcomes.  We strive to use evidence-based practices to promote progress.  At Germantown Speech Language & Learning Clinic we are equipped to help adults who have mild to moderate deficits and hope to strengthen skills in order to return to, or increase performance at work following a traumatic event.
